The Transcendental Meditation (TM) technique is a simple, natural, effortless process practiced 15 to 20 minutes twice daily while sitting comfortably with eyes closed. It is unique among techniques of meditation, distinguished by its effortlessness, naturalness, and profound effectiveness resulting from the experience of Transcending.

The TM technique is not a religion or philosophy, nor does it require any change of lifestyle.

More than 600 scientific studies verifying the wide-ranging benefits of the Transcendental Meditation technique have been conducted at 250 independent universities and medical schools in 33 countries during the past 40 years.

Benefits of TM include: improved mental functioning; better health; improved relations with others; and improved quality of life for society.

The Process of Learning the TM technique

To ensure maximum effectiveness, the Transcendental Meditation (TM) technique is taught in the same systematic seven-step course by a certified TM teacher. The course is followed by weekly, and then monthly, checking sessions (averaging 20-30 minutes) to ensure correct practice of the technique.

The course also includes an optional, lifetime follow-up of checking and knowledge to ensure maximum benefit. Anyone 10 years of age or older can learn the practice. There’s a special technique for children under 10.
